Rachel Murphy expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that Toto (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Rachel claims that a groomer taped Toto r’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Rachel explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Toto r's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Wow! My Dog is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.
Rachel took Toto right away to the doctor for emergency treatment. Rachel has accused Wow! My Dog of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo’s office launched an investigation against the company due to possible animal cruelty.
Rachel explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." The wounds were so severe they caused bleeding."
Marianna De las Vegas - a Wow! My Dog client - posted a Yelp animal abuse arrest comment detailing how his pets had been returned to him unwell or injure. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.
Bad Review
In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Wow! My Dog wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. Rachel shared: "Juliann told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Juliann claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."
Gate News contacted Wow! My Dog who answered it but handed it off to a woman, who informed her that she was investigating the allegations. She quickly responded that Wow! My Dog was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
